EasierSBC

Two steps, once. After that it keeps itself up to date.

1. Install

Ask for the installer.

  1. Open chrome://extensions and remove every EasierSBC entry that shows a folder path. A copy loaded from a folder never updates, and Chrome runs it in preference to the installed one.
  2. Press the button above and double-click the downloaded .reg file. Say yes to both prompts — the second one is Windows asking for administrator rights, which writing a Chrome policy needs.
  3. Close Chrome completely, including anything left in the tray, then open it again. Policy is read at startup only.
  4. Check chrome://extensions: EasierSBC should be listed with a version and no folder path.

From then on Chrome fetches new versions by itself, every few hours. Nothing to download again. To check the policy landed, open chrome://policy, press Reload policies, and look for ExtensionInstallForcelist.

It installs as a managed extension, so chrome://extensions will not offer a Remove button. The uninstall file next to the installer takes the policy away again; Chrome drops the extension on its next start.

This is the only route that updates itself. A copy loaded from a folder never will — and worse, it wins: Chrome gives an unpacked extension priority over the installed one with the same id, so the folder keeps running while the updated copy sits unused. If you have ever used Load unpacked for EasierSBC, remove that entry in chrome://extensions before installing this way.

Rather not run a file, or not on Windows?

Download the zip, unzip it somewhere permanent, open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode, and use Load unpacked. Every update then means downloading the zip again, unzipping over the folder, and restarting Chrome — for ever. The installer above exists to end that.

Or apply the same setting by hand, as administrator:

2. Your key

Paste the key you were sent.

Checked on your own machine — nothing here is uploaded, and the key is not sent to any server. Once it takes, open the FC web app and the EasierSBC button is there.

What it does on your account

It runs only on the FC Ultimate Team web app. It never reads or stores your login, and it never sells, discards, buys or bids. Opening packs you already own is the one thing it does that cannot be undone, and only for a count you typed in yourself.
